• Boys and Girls –U10-U19 Recreation Travel and Travel Level Brackets Available
• 3 Game Minimum; plus playoffs
• Recreation Travel level will be a state competition only. Winners will not advance to Regionals
• Travel Level winners will advance to US Club Soccer Regional Competition.
• Application Fees: Recreation Travel U10-U14 $350; U15-U19 $375
• Application Fees: Travel U10-U14 $425; U15-U19 $450
• All fees include administration cost and field costs, referee fees are NOT included in the application fees and will range from $50 - $65 per team per game depending on age group. All games will have a 3 referee system for all games.

Eligibility

MD Cup is open to U10 (7v7), U11 (8v8), U12 (8v8), U12 (11v11), U13, U14, U15, U16, U17, U18/19 age groups.

All teams must belong to a US Club Sanctioned Soccer Club or US Club affiliated league, in good standing.

All teams must have their US Club Soccer ID#'s and their official US Club Soccer team roster. All information must be current for this season.

All players shall be eligible for participation in accordance with the relevant US Club Soccer, USSF and FIFA regulations.

 

Players listed on the official US Club Soccer roster who meet the age requirement for their team, have paid the registration fee and supplied proof of their age (necessary to obtain pass cards) and are not subject to suspension are eligible to play. Players are permitted to play up in older age groups, yet they are limited to play only on cup team.

 

Players are not eligible to play in younger age groups. Players are permitted to play on only one team in Cup competition.

 

Referee Fees Etc.

A three-person referee system is preferred, with fees split equally between the teams at the field. All referees are to be paid as follows prior to the start of each game.

Referees outlined above are shared by home and the away team on a 50-50% basis. MD Cup covers all assignor fees.

Cup Roster

Master roster of 26 players as per US Club rules is frozen 1 week prior to the first match.

Game day rosters are capped at 15 for U9 - U12 (Small Sided), 18 for U12 (11v11) and older . All of the players must be from the same club, of the appropriate age group or younger and must be listed on the approved, official MD Cup game roster. A player is limited to playing for one team in MD Cup.

Pass Cards

Pass cards will be issued for each player and staff member that registers with US Club Soccer. All players and coaches participating in MD Cup games must hold current pass cards, and these pass cards must be brought to each game.

Matches

Teams must provide the referee with both players' and coaches' pass cards and their official MD Cup roster for each game, with a copy provided for the opposing team's coach. No player is permitted to play without a pass. The home team is responsible to provide the game ball(s) and the appropriate size field.

 

 

 

Substitutions may be performed during ANY stoppage of play and are unlimited as long as the process conforms to FIFA Law and with the permission of the Referee

Disciplinary

A send off (red card) will result in a minimum of a one (1) game suspension. A send off as a result of two cautions will result in the player or coach being suspended for the next match. All suspensions shall commence immediately. If a second game is to be played that day, the suspended player is not eligible and the referee should note it on the game card. The home team is responsible for informing the league that a red card infraction has occurred and the league will inform all parties affected the length of suspension. Referees will return all players/coaches passes to the teams and will list on the Game Card any send-offs with player/coach name and US Club Soccer number, and infraction. MD Cup reserves the right to impose additional suspensions, depending upon the severity of the offense and accumulation of suspensions.

Any team utilizing ineligible player, either not properly registered with the team, presenting fradulent documents or allowing a player/coach to participate during a suspension, will forefeit any affected games and a 3-0 win awarded to the opposing team.

MD Cup shall have the authority to suspend, fine or disqualify players, team officals or competing lubs for violating league rules, or for any action or conduct not in the best interest of soccer or MD Cup.

No-Shows and Forfeits

A no-show occurs when a team willfully does not show up at a game agreed to by the league, following the 15-minute grace period allowed after the scheduled kick off. Penalties for no-shows are as follows:

• A forfeit to the opposing team and additional loss of three points.

• One no show may result in a team being terminated at the discretion of MD Cup Board of Directors.

• A forfeit will result in a 3-0 win to the team not at fault.

• A forfeit will result in a fine of $250 which must be paid prior to your next scheduled game-No exceptions

MD CUP 2011-2012 U10-U19 Information

• Two Stage Competition (Group Stage and Single Elimination Rounds)

• Teams will be distributed into evenly balanced brackets

• Each team will play at least 3 games

• Points will be rewarded in Group 1 Stage

• Travel (Top Tier) and Recreation Travel (2nd Tier) divisions will be created based on teams ability
