Fall Turf Classic

This event is a great way to end your fall season on all turf fields. The event is Hosted by Montgomery United and Presented by Elite Tournaments. This event will also carry full cancellation insurance in case of foul weather. We look forward to hosting you in November!
















 

Overview

It is with great regret that we have decided to cancel this year's Fall Turf Classic due to raising COVID-19 concerns in the Greater Philadelphia area. Over the past two days, we have had multiple teams drop out of the event, and even more teams express their concerns about the event with the increase of COVID cases in the area. The board of Montgomery United and Elite Tournaments have decided to cancel this year's event with the safety of all its participants in mind. Any team that booked hotel rooms through Halpern Travel, your room block has been canceled for you with no penalty by Halpern Travel.  There is no need for you to contact the hotel.

 

We will be in touch with all teams after next week's holiday with information on refunds and where to send payments. Montgomery United and Elite Tournaments ask you to please be patient with this process as our offices will be closed next week and we need to wait for all invoices to be received before we can start with the refund process. We hope that you and your families have a safe Thanksgiving and we hope to see you next year.

  • ​All U9-U11 teams will follow the new heading rule
  • A separate performance bond of $350 is required for U14-U19 age groups

 

Our refund policy for this tournament in relation to Covid-19 will be as follows:

 

If we are forced to cancel the event prior to 14 days before the start of the tournament, a full refund will be given to participating teams.  Essentially, no charge will be made. 

 

If we are forced to cancel the event within 14 days of the start of the tournament (due to state or federal intervention), a refund minus expenses will be given (expenses will not exceed 25% of the application fee).  This will because at this point, some costs would have been incurred.  We will of course hope that once we get the green light, the event will go ahead as planned.

Halpern Travel secure, online hotel reservation system allows teams to view information about hotels, including rate, area location and amenities. Player Information

Player Profile Books: Please make sure that you update your player profile information in the GotSoccer system so it is accessible by college coaches. You may need to contact your team manager or coach to add this information. This is the information that will be given to college coaches looking to recruit players.

Player Self-Recruiting: Elite Tournaments highly recommends that players reach out to the schools that they are interested in playing for. Many coaches come to our events to scout for pick up players, but will not realize that you interested in playing for their team unless you reach out to them! We also know that you have many schools that you are looking to play for that are not currently signed up to attend our event. You are encouraged to reach out to schools you are looking to attend, and let them know which events you will be playing in this season. We welcome you to invite these coaches to attend this event. If you have a coach that you are inviting to attend, please have them pre-register at the link above.
