SAC Columbus Day Tournament

Welcome to the 12th annual SAC United Premier Columbus Day Tournament.  All levels are welcome to this U9-U15 boys and girls event.  Application deadline for this event is September 9, 2017.

Overview

Any updates will be posted online immediately, as well as emailed to your team contacts listed in gotsoccer. Please check with your site coordinators when arriving on-site to ensure that your games are still on time before beginning your team’s warm up.

Elite Tournaments and the Soccer Association of Columbia have partnered with Casey Cares to host a Pajama Drive at the SAC Columbus Day Tournament.

Inspired by the memory of a Casey Cares child, this program provides new sleepwear and pajama-themed parties to children on extended hospital stays. The pajamas give children the comfort of home in an otherwise sterile environment. Their goal is to provide more than 8,000 new pairs of pajamas to critically ill children this year alone. Their biggest needs are always infant sizes and teen/adult sized PJs but they accept any new pairs of pajamas. Please keep tags on them so the families know they are new!

Donated items can be dropped of at the headquarters area of each tournament site!

Hotels

This is a "stay-to-play" event. If your team will not be "day-tripping", it must arrange lodging through the official hospitality service for all of our events, THS. THS has reserved rooms for Elite Tournaments events throughout the year, including dates when housing is in short supply. If these rooms are not consistently utilized, we will not have the cooperation of the hotels when we most need them. All teams are mandated to book any hotel reservations through THS to insure their place in our tournaments. Any teams that do not comply will be at risk of forfeiting their acceptance. We appreciate your cooperation with this required policy.

The SAC Columbus Day Tournament will carry hotel cancellation insurance through THS:

By using THS as our booking service, SAC can offer an "Act of God" clause.  This states "should this event be cancelled for reasons beyond the Event Organizer's control (including weather), all outstanding reservations will be released at no charge to the participants"

We are now accepting pre-orders for this event! Check out the official tournament t-shirts and pre-order your apparel before it sells out. Apparel is printed in limited quantities so pre-orders are the best way to ensure you get the color and size of your choice! Shirts will also be for sale at the headquarters tent at some locations.

Player Information

Player Profile Books:
Please make sure that you update your player profile information in the GotSoccer system so it is accessible by college coaches. You may need to contact your team manager or coach to add this information. This is the information that will be given to college coaches looking to recruit players.

Player Self-Recruiting: Elite Tournaments highly recommends that players reach out to the schools that they are interested in playing for. Many coaches come to our events to scout for pick up players, but will not realize that you interested in playing for their team unless you reach out to them! We also know that you have many schools that you are looking to play for that are not currently signed up to attend our event. You are encouraged to reach out to schools you are looking to attend, and let them know which events you will be playing in this season. We welcome you to invite these coaches to attend this event. If you have a coach that you are inviting to attend, please have them pre-register at the link above.
