Kick off your team’s spring season with this small-sided tournament open to U8-U12 premier and classic teams of both genders. All games will be played on turf fields at Covenant Park in Ellicott City. Dedicated to the memory of Amanda Josephine Post, this championship format tournament draws 115+ teams from across the Mid-Atlantic Region annually.

Through the Community Foundation of Howard County, the Amanda Post Memorial Fund has now awarded $95,000 to nineteen (19) “winning” SAC student-athletes; and collectively with the Amanda Post “Amanda Wins” River Hill High School Student-Athlete Scholarship, the fund has awarded an overall total of $185,000 to thirty-seven (37) SAC and RHHS student-athletes in fourteen years.

Below is the 2023 awardee for Amanda’s The Amanda Post “Amanda Wins” SAC/HC Student-Athlete Scholarship:

  • Sofia Douglass, Howard HS … a thirteen-year SAC player who will attend the University of Maryland’s Honors College to pursue a career in cybersecurity.

Each $5,000 scholarship in Amanda’s memory is awarded to help defray Christopher’s and Emily’s expenses during freshman year of college.

DONATION DRIVE

The Soccer Association of Columbia/ Howard County and Elite Tournaments are proud to announce we will be hosting a donation drive for the Children’s Hospital at Sinai during the 2024 Amanda Post Memorial Tournament.

While Amanda was battling Acute Myeloid Leukemia, instead of playing soccer, she would spend months at a time at the Children’s Hospital at Sinai. In memory of Amanda’s strength and effort, we would like to invite you all to donate items that will benefit the children and families receiving treatment at that same facility. The Samuelson Children’s Hospital at Sinai helps patients fight a wide variety of childhood illnesses and treats patients on both a local and national level. We appreciate the testament to Amanda’s memory and thank you all for helping her passion for others live on through this generous act of kindness.

All items can be dropped off with the Site Coordinator or Field Marshal of your tournament site at the Amanda Post Memorial Tournament, or sent directly to the hospital through the Amazon Wishlist.

If you have any questions or would like to donate and cannot attend the event, please contact Cameron Griffin at [email protected].
